Their total H2H ended 22-13 favoring Lendl. Connors wins the first 8 matches, being 8-0 up, then it becomes pretty even for some period and they go 5-5 in the following 10 matches ending 13-5 in advantage to Connors.
Then happens the unexpected . Between mid 1984-1992 Lendl beats 17 times in a row Jimmy connors, which include the following..

12 x outdoor hard (3x at US open)
4 x indoor carpet (2x Master 1x WTC finals)
1 x outdoor clay (at RG SF)

Jimmy Connors never ever beat Lendl again. From 8-0 to 13-5 to finally ending up 13-22 against Ivan Lendl.

I don't think any other rivalry between all time greats comes close to have 17 matches streak for one of the sides. Correct me if I am wrong.

Rafael Nadal ended 20-4 against Tomas Berdych. Nadal won their first match, Berdych won the next 3 to lead 3-1. Nadal then won their next 17 matches, losing just 3 sets in those 17 matches combined to lead 18-3. Berdych then beat Nadal at the 2015 Australian Open. Nadal won their final 2 matches, the last at the 2019 Australian Open.

True I know of both cases you listed.. But Berdych is unfortunately not an all time great.. And Vitas although winning an Australian open (in 77 if I remember correctly) it was one of those years in the second half of the 70s until the early 80s where the field was extremely weak at the AO, he also won a WTC finals some year I cannot remember. So he is not quite an ATG imo.

I think the case of Lendl and connors did show us how Jimmy regardless of being quite good at older age, didnt have any answers for the modern game of Ivan..

The Lendl vs. McEnroe head-to-head seesawed. McEnroe won the first 2, Lendl won the next 7, McEnroe then won 10 of the next 12 to lead 12-9, Lendl won 2, McEnroe won 2 for 14-11, and then Lendl won 10 of the last 11 matches that were completed (1987 Stratton Mountain match was unfinished with McEnroe leading 7-6, 1-4), finishing 21-15 to Lendl.

That's why I said hardly any, not no.

Dude you have a reading comprehension problem. #1 the thread asked for records BETWEEN ATGs. Berdych is not an ATG. Just because there aren't many 17 match streaks doesn't make it correct to mention Berdych. But ok, you have reading comprehension issues and you mention Berdych, funny that you mention that one which is not even as impressive as the Federer Ferrer once since Fed is 17-0.

Rosewall won 12 in a row against Laver at one point. As did Gonzales against Rosewall.

Connors is also 8 years older than Lendl, I think?

Among the current ATGs
Djokovic won 7 consecutive against Nadal twice. The first one in 2011-12 was super impressive. 4 masters and 3 slam finals against Nadal.

Fed who always struggled against Nadal achived a 5 match winning streak starting from Basel 2015 and then 4 on 2017.

Nadal has two 5 winning streak against Federer i recall.

Wasn't really unexpected given Connors's age
