BLX Tour 90 vs n6.1 Tour 90

Okay guys, I know that the BLX tour 90 isn't out yet, but I suspect that some privileged people have been able to hit with it already. So, my question is, how does it stand up against the nsix-one tour 90? I'm curious because I still play with the ncodes. I never really liked the feel of the kfactor so I never made the switch. So, all this time I've been waiting for the one after the kfactor and here it is. Already, just by looking at the handle, the BLX 90 looks like it is going to be very similar to the Kfactor, which is going to cause me to try it, most likely not like it, and be forced to wait another two-ish years until Wilson comes out with something more modern than the BLX. Anybody know anything? Or does anyone have the same preferences as me, or perhaps the opposite. From the PS 90 to the current BLX 90, which have you guys liked the best and why? How did it suit your game best?

I hope this'll be an interesting conversation.

Actually, it's already out. You can get it on TW.

But I haven't hit with it, so I can't give any advice.
Someone will chime in soon though I'm sure...

Oh, holy cow. Then I should get on the list to demo it! (but it is supposed to rain here in CA until saturday and sunday). Darn, I misinformed myself. I didn't think it was going on sale until the 20th of this month. Some places on **** supposedly had it by the 15th though.

I received this racket last Friday because I had pre-ordered it from Tennis Warehouse the first week of this month. It's awesome so far! Up until last Friday, I was also using the n-code six one tour (have 3 of them), and will probably keep them as backups til I get a back up BLX. I didn't like the K six one tour, either--too stiff without the feel I like with the n-code. I tested the K pro staff 88 (Sampras) last year, too, side by side with the K six one tour (both from tennis warehouse--they let you demo up to 4 at a time!). Loved the feel, touch, power, plow through of the pro staff 88, but it was too heavy for me. I actually bought it, then sold it after about a month.
This new BLX is just right--very similar benefits of the K pro staff 88, but easier on my shoulder and forearm. I'm a 4.0 all-court player now, but used to serve and volley a lot more in the past. Spin and touch come easy with this racket. You'll get a little bit more heft when returning someone's booming serve, too, than you get with the n-code (gotta set up and hit the sweet spot, though, just like with any of the previous pro staff models). Also, the dampening is noticeable and reminds me of when I used the original Wilson Ceramic in high school back in the 80's--ceramic...basalt...both from the earth and created with high temperatures...any relationship between these materials?
Anyway, from one n-code lover to another, I think you'll like the BLX. It's definitely worth the demo. Good luck!

Wow, that is actually sort of comforting. I demo'd the K88 and the k90 (for a second time) back to back with .. I honestly don't remember. I think it was a technifiber and the yonex rds 001. The technifiber I tried out seriously felt like a really cheap racket. Too lightweight and stuff. I think I needed to try one of the heavier models, but they weren't in stock. When I hit the K88, I liked it. It was heavier and I'm fine with heavy rackets, but it wasn't so much more special to make me want to go ahead and switch to it. The first time I tried the k90 was when it first came out. I hated it. I just never quite hit the ball right with it and it didn't feel right. The shortened handle messed with my mind too. And of course, being a demo the strings weren't to my liking. The second time I tried the k90 I had improved my game more and was optimistic about it. (That's when I tried the k88, yonex and technifiber) and I still didn't like it. This was roughly3-6 months ago. Now for some reason I actually bought a used k90 demo off of here last night if for no other reason than to put my ROK 93, PS tour 90, ntour 90, and that K90 side by side and see how they all look. :)

When I hit with my ntour 90's, when I strike the ball sometimes there is vibration. I assume this is due to slightly off-center hits or when I have to try and hit something coming at me with a lot of pace. recently it hasn't been occuring much because I stopped using the first ntour 90 that I had. I bought it new from TW when they first came out and I think I just kind of wore it out. It went through 1+ years of hitting every day that it didn't rain before I finally bought a second one and even then I didn't get my 3rd through 5th for the past year or so. So, in summary it went through 2 years of high school 1st singles tennis and in the off season hitting every day it didn't rain. I quit using it in Oct or Nov '09 after a tournament. But, the other four work great and seldom give me that vibration issue unless the tension is wrong.

I also asked TW when they were going to have them available for demo and they said within the next week or two.
