Wang is solid man. I have played the guy in a doubles final of an open. We lost 8-6. I don't know if he is "Clay-caliber" per se. But he is a great player. Great anticipation and hands.

Do you use the BLX 6.1 Tour with neon green strings?
Agreed! Clay just naturally seems to have a stronger sense for the game.

I thought it was the K Pro Open, and then in his next match, he used a BLX Pro Open. Yeah, I have the neon green strings, but I use the BLX 6.1 95.

You should have seen my watching the match. I was sitting on the side, Nike cap, Nike Air Max Breath Cage 2's. It was the N Pro Open. You wear glasses and hit a 1hbh right?

He was really consistent and his groundstrokes were pretty big. I played doubles, though I'm a singles player, and in the first round we drew Baldwin Park. We won 6-2, 6-1, if I recall correctly.
In second round, we drew Mira Costa and had a real tough match.
Are you sure you are using the 95? I thought you were using the 90!

Could have swore 60% of that strength was coming from the strings those guys were using. I'm still in the process of finding the right strings. I'm suing the K90 and hopefully can stick with it, but might consider going back to my N Pro, or something else I can find. What strings do you hit with if you don;t mind me asking?

On the mains, I use Prince EXP(the green string). On the crosses, I use Wilson Sensation.

Monterey Park. Almont League. Whittier Narrows is really close to my house, about 10-15 minutes.
I think he will catch and pass Clay .. Clay has a big serve and he can over-power young ones ,but he cannot do that in college as much as he's doing now.. Clay's groundstrokes are not as good as Johnny's and JW's serve will improve in time as he get a bit more upper body strength but Clay's weapons will not be as potent when everyone is his equal in strength ...

I don't see how everyone will equal his serve unless they grow to be as tall as he is. I agree his groundstrokes are not as solid as others, but his forehand and serve is good enough to beat most players at this level.
yes you just said it.. "at this level" I'm thinking about the future .. talking about when they all get into college.. it's very easy for a man-sized Clay to beat up on younger and weaker kids .. but once the players get his serve back ,how does he structure a point..
