Can someone tell if these are RPM Blast strings?

Hello everyone, I have been a long time reader and love the amount of info here. I was hoping someone can answer a question about strings on a racket i recently purchased. The seller claims that it had new RPM Blast strings but there are no markings on the strings as my other racket has. ( i only ask because my other racket and friends racket both have RPM Blast written a lot all over the strings and this new one doesnt ). I appreciate any help on this.

Nope. RPM is shaped, this clearly looks round. Try feeling the string with hand. If you do not feel edges, it is safe to say that the string isn't RPM Blast.

In the second pic you can see that it is in fact a shaped poly that has been worn down by use. Not with edges like RPM blast but you can see a line going down the middle of the strings that looks almost exactly like Black Shark.

Black shark is octagonal which means it will have atleast two edges on one side even on the thickest 16 guage available in the market. In addition, even the most used shaped string does not get worn down so evenly all over the bed that it gives off a round profile like it is showing in the first picture. My $0.02.

Perhaps @Mareqnyc can chime in and give his expert opinion here :)

Not RPM blast since there is no sign, Even the fake RPM from China has white signs on it. It doesnt look like Black Shark either based on this pic. Really hard to say what this since there are so many black strings out there :/

Black Shark has a gear/sprocket shape, not flat edges. You can see the cross-section pictures of all strings on stringforum.net

Black shark actually has edges, like I mentioned above - and as like every other string - they get worn down unevenly across the bed.

I have played with Black Shark in the past and have seen how it looks like worn out up close. The point I was making was that any kind of shaped string will not wear out so evenly that it gives a round profile like the OP's picture. Just my $0.02.

I do agree that it could be anything like a few posters above suggested given the plethora of black strings out there. Hard to pinpoint. But it certainly isnt RPM and (to me) it def seems round. That should narrow the choices a little bit.
