I dont have a staplegun and am changing the grip pallets on my head raquets, is there any reason why i couldnt just glue the butt cap on instead of stapling it?

Yes, if you use the right kind. I use Gorilla Glue on loose or squeaky butt caps and it works perfectly. Gorilla glue expands a little and is very strong. The expansion is helpful on butt caps that don't have a really tight fit.

With glue it would be harder to remove in future.
Instead of staples you can use short nails (I prefer nails from map pins - man can easily destroy colorful plastic with pliers and there's plenty of them in every office).

Paul Angell uses double sided carpet tape on Angell Racquet pallets. This allow for easy removal while keeping the pallets secure. The butt caps are stapled the same as other major Racquet manufacturers.

I was thinking of going with a glue thats not to strong, thus making it possible should i need to in the future to pry the buttcap of without damaging the pallets, in theory that is of course...

As you wish :)
IMHO small nails are even better than staples because they're easier on frame: due to more pointy end of nails there's less damage to frame (with staples sometimes you can see graphite fibers tore loose when you look down the handle through the open buttcap).

Another thing is to save the Staples you carefully removed. Use a small drill bit and predrill the staple locations. Then you can n just tap the staples into the buttcap and frame.

Yes you may want to remove the butt cap at a later time and the glue would make it harder. I have a simple Arrow stapler and used staples with a rounded head instead of a flat head. I thought maybe I would feel the staple but I didn't. When I went to take the butt cap off it was so easy it was pathetic.

Tecnifibre also uses double sided tape on the 315 Limited and LTD frames.

I've never used staples because my non-electric staple gun wouldn't get them through the graphite handle of my 5g. So, I used a little glue and some packing tape to secure the butt cap. It works for me.

With a little double sided tape inside the butt cap and a few rounds (tightly) of clear packaging tape outside, to hold it over the pallets, the cap is going to stay stable forever! And you can remove it easily as many times as you want.

Careful with trying to hammer down a small nail through the pallet and hairpin. You might generate a small crack, which is no-bueno. I used to reuse the factory staples through the same hole, but ended up realizing that was too annoying to perpetuate. I now just use good glue, and it stays in place even after super hot and intense tennis days.

I must disagree with this. When attached like this, mine came off in about 1 year. Not bad, but still came off. I play several times per week for 1.5 hours.

As a "real" TT member I've never play with the same racquet one whole year! LOLLLL

So, you may have right. But a re-check every eg 200 hours it isn't so bad as you said too.
Of course in a custom fix like that, the final success depends in each one's technical skill, what ever that means...
