November 24, 2014 (Plantation, Florida) - Renowned tennis coach Nick Saviano announced today that he and Eugenie Bouchard have agreed to end their long-standing player-coach relationship.

"Genie and I have decided that it is best for us to end our player-coach relationship and to move in different directions for 2015.
Helping Genie grow from an ambitious 12-year-old to No. 5 in the world has been an exciting journey," shared Saviano.

Genie, who has worked with Saviano for the past eight years, in a cooperative effort with Tennis Canada, won three junior Wimbledon titles before turning professional. After turning pro in 2013 she was recognized by the WTA with the "Newcomer of the Year" Award. Then in 2014 Bouchard reached the semifinals at the Australian and French Opens and the finals at Wimbledon, as well as qualifying for the WTA World Championships in Singapore. It was a two-year run that saw Bouchard go from #144 to a career high #5, earning the 2014 WTA "Most Improved Player of the Year" Award.

"This past year traveling with Genie to all of the majors
has been a wonderful experience with memories I will cherish for a lifetime.
I have no doubt that Genie will accomplish great things.
I wish her all the best," said Saviano.

Nick Saviano, who has coached numerous top tour players, will continue coaching world-class juniors and professionals at his Saviano High Performance Tennis program in Plantation, Florida.

Smart move by Nick, he's on a road to nowhere with Bouchard, she aint getting any better.

Other way around IMO. How can she have a coach who can only travel with her for the slams? Also, Saviano has taken her as far as she can go tactics-wise. His advice to her was "just play your aggressive tennis." What kind of advice is that? She has the money and potential to get herself a real good coach who can help her with her tactics.

Good move. You knew it was coming.

Yeah this x10.

I like how people always say "they will figure them out". You don't figure out someone who can stand inside the baseline and hit corners. She will continue to get better, she was ONLY 20 this year. She will get faster, stronger and improve her cardio and tactics. The sky is the limit. 4-5 slams is not unreasonable if she plays to 30.

Great news. I've been waiting for this.

She needs someone who says more that "just play your game" She needs a bigger and more varied serve, needs to get off the baseline and to come to the net, needs a plan B.

How else can her game be improved?

Now, who would be a really good coach for her?

I find it funny that people say "get a real good coach" in my opinion it is the coach that brings the player up and develops them when they were little kids to top players that IS the real good coach. They do not receive enough credit in my opinion. Good job Nick. I'm sure you'll do it again with another player.
