Crack or paint crack?

Would this be a crack or a paint crack?

Looks cracked to me. Paints cracks of that nature tend to chip off.

My daughter's brand new racquet has a crack like yours from a drill where she and her partner had to tap racquets between points.

That's unfortunate, but thanks for confirming that my racquet is cracked. I'm going to have to buy a new stick now I guess :\
