My game has never been better with the JK PS woodie and I want to use it as a reference for customizing my PS 6.0 85. If I can match the 6.0 85's balance point and weight to the Jack Kramer PS woodie with lead, will the 2 racquets hit very similar to each other? Am I doing this customization job right?

I know nothing about the woodie, but if it's wood, how could it play/feel the same?

Same story here, never played with this specific woodie. However what is quite obvious is that while you will be able match balance and weight, you can not lower the flex of the PS 6.0 85. It is a much stiffer racquet than a wood racquet so it should give you much more power given the same weight and balance.

He never even mentioned matching flex, or anything about flex for that matter. Anyway, what you want to do is what Sampras' racket builder did. Nate Ferguson added mass to under the butt cap, at the top of the handle, at the sides, under the bumper, used a more dense handle. Some of that was for matching purposes, but you get the idea. So..place the racket in a lead bath and maybe you'll be closer.

He never mentioned flex directly but he did say 'hit very similar to each other' which IMO has a lot to do with flex. I don't believe adding weight to the 6.0 85 is going to make it feel much like wood, and it will certainly make it a lot more powerful.

The Kramer PS woodie weighs around 13 -13.5 ounces on the scale.
