Cyberflash vs. SPPP as hybrid mains

I had a chance to directly compare Topspin Cyberflash 1.25mm and SPPP 1.18mm as mains in a hybrid setup. Goal is to tame the power of the Warrior OS, have great control and not aggrevate TE.

Racquets: Prince Warrior OS
String: Cyberflash or SPPP mains at 54lbs
Head Rip Control crosses at 59lbs

Power: Cyberflash has the edge here. This string has more power with a muted feel at impact. Some trampoline effect with this power, however.

Control: Pinpoint accuracy with the SPPP. Excellent control where I can dictate the length and location of shots. Cyberflash has a tendency to spray, which comes from the noticeable trampoline effect. Perhaps Cyberflash should be strung tighter, or maybe it is the thicker gauge. Spin potential was noticeably better with SPPP and I can place blocked shots much better.

Feel: Soft and powerful with Cyberflash, especially with volleys. With SPPP, more board-like and stiff. However the odd thing is that my TE was aggrevated by Cyberflash, even though it feels softer. I played for hours with the SPPP and never had an issue with my arm or shoulder. After only an hour with Cyberflash, my arm was hurting.

Overall, SPPP at 1.18mm is the best for my situation. I am surprised that Cyberflash actually absorbed shock less than SPPP, at least in my frames.

I have tried the same thing. The only difference is that I used Gosen OG Micro crosses, and I have the same findings as you. I heard that SPPP was stiff so I expected it to aggrivate my TE, but suprisingly it didn't.

same as aeroman. used gosen in the crosses and had no arm issues with SPPP. i can see why SPPP was rated so high.

TE = Tennis Elbow

Cyberflash is definitely harsher on my arm and shoulder, even with a high comfort cross string like Head Rip Control.

I am realizing how quality a string SPPP (Pure) is. Control with comfort is a tough combo to achieve in a poly. Anyone know where I can find the best deal on the 1.18mm SPP Pure reel? Seems like all the places sell for the same price.
