D3 Tennis

Are there any D3 schools where a 3.5/4.0 player could hope to play? For example, what are some of the worst tennis universities and what does it take to get on the team?
There are many DIII tennis rosters filled with players that never played high schools tennis and have a UTR of 1.0

Ok, am I missing something.
I thought D3 offered no scholarships.

If this the case why get tired up with the team, just to the tennis on campus.

Well, many reasons.

For me, it helped me in admissions. Being an athletic recruit greatly increases admissions chance.

Some people like to compete, tennis on campus really doesn't hold the weight of representing your school.

Varsity athletics is a very desired trait among employers and grad school admissions.

Top D3 players continue to prove they can compete with top D1 opponents. Emory's #2 beat Florida's #4 in straight sets in late June in a men's open a week before said Gator earned his 1st ATP point.

Doesn't your school have like a 65% acceptance rate?

Yes but we have a demographic that applies to us from the top 25% in their class. Average sat score is 1200 for math sat from our applicants.

So it's 65% from a lot of high scoring applicants. There's a very high acceptance into grad programs from my school.
