We are talking here about US open, and as far as I know, it's not played on grass. Del potro beat PEAK Nadal 3 times in 2009. Before 2009 Delpo didn't have confidence to beat a top10 not named Roddick. In february 2009, he lost 3-6 0-6 0-6 to Federer... and look what happened four months later in the FO and then in the US open. He improved a lot, beating Fed and Nadal again in the WTF. Then he had his hand injury and surgery, was off for an entire year... and is still coming back, not yet in his best form. Yet, he made Djokovic retire last week, when novak realized that he would not be able to beat Del potro, and he decided to retire.
When did the 6 victories of Nadal come? a few might be against after injury Del potro, and the others against baby del potro who could not beat a top20 player to save his life.
You lack common sense, and as you have shown us, you can't make predictions, because you fail everytime...

Basically everyone was making similar predictions about Djokovic, so if I was wrong so was everyone else. Also if you could read simple english you would see one of your fellow idiots had already turned it into a discussion of Del Potro vs Nadal on grass (ROTFL) and taken it off main topic.
You say I lack common knowledge, the dope who once said Nalbandian's best tennis is better than Federer's and keeps insisting Nalbandian has GOAT talent.

I love how the Del Potro fanboys in this thread are so butthurt since some people arent willing to coronate a 1 title above 500 level/1 surface/flash in the pan Del Potro some legend of tennis because he had one good tournament.

Nadal lost to Delpo in 2009 because he had a stomach tear.
Fit Rafa would beat Delpo most of the times.

Really, you can't even give Del Potro one win fair and square? Nadal said he wouldn't have lost as badly as he did, maybe that's true but Delpo had won the last 2 matches against Nadal as well and played Nadal off the court. One of the reasons I went off Rafa is his post match interview in which he said all 3 losses were due to him playing badly, which didn't give any credit to Del Potro.

Nadal 2010 vs Del Potro 2009 is a very tough match and I can't say who'd have won.

I'm sure you agree that players should be humble and give credit to their opponents.

In light of that, Nadal's post USO SF after-match-invented "stomach tear" story is nothing other than a shameful act of arrogance and evidence of bad sportsmanship.

Nadal is an obnoxious, arrogant, condescending, vain, stuck up pompous-ass who should start being humble and give credit to his opponents

You didn't respond my arguments. Nalbandian has real talent, he was able to beat prime Fed a few times (though he lost most of the times) in important matches, and we know he preffers to eat and go party instead of taking the sport seriously, but you'll find that in many persons of his country.

Anyway, the point is that Del potro is a bad match up for the pusher, and the Del potro that played in 2009 Us open was the best del potro we saw so far, you can't say that the 2010, 2011, or 2007-2008 del potro has anything to do with the Del potro that won the us open and almost win the WTF with an injury in the hand, playing in pain, and still beating Nadal and Federer again.
2009 Del potro > 2010 Nadal.

It might help Nadal though if they use the US Open 2010 surface compared to the 2009 surface. It played much quicker in 2009.

Funny how delusional Del Potro fanboys thinks beating Nadal a couple times makes you GOD. It is common knowledge Nadal was never unbeatable on hard courts, and most top players can beat him on it a few times at some point in time. Davydenko has beaten Nadal twice as many times as Del Potro has, is he tennis GOAT. Even Youzhny has beaten Nadal as many times. Del Potro is one of the least accomplished 1 slam winners ever, he doesnt even have a Masters title. Yet we have idiots saying he could beat Nadal on grass (a surface he is absolute crap on) in the exact year he couldnt even get past the 2nd round of Wimbledon all because once he took a set off Nadal on grass in another year, what a joke. It is fair to say Del Potro in form can compete and sometimes win vs Nadal on hard courts (the only surface he can), but as far as achievement goes Nadal pisses all over Del Potro even on hard courts.

If Nadal pisses all over Del Potro on hard courts, he wouldn't have lost 7 consecutive sets to him on the surface, including the beautifully decisive (not to mention symmetrical) 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 result at the US Open, making Nadal quit like a little girl, on the way to winning a Slam and beating both Butt Picker and Fed in the process. It doesn't take long to call roll for the members of THAT particular club, in fact, its membership just recently doubled with Nole's win.

I think Delpo would have hit right through Nadal. He was in the zone, and is a bad match-up for Nadal to begin with.
