How come this excuse is valid for everyone except Nadal? Nadal has actually played more matches this year than Possum,but if anyone even dares make that excuse for him because he played badly the sh*t hits the fan. I wonder why that is?

Anyway, acco to the latest standings, if Ferrer beats Berdy, then Possum goes through (almost certain, not sure though). However, since Possum plays first, he will prolly have to win against Janko in 2 to ensure a seat.

Ferrer played incredible tennis yesterday. I have the recording of the Nadlal/Fed match and if you compare it Ferrer comes up trumps. He was just about everywhere. Few shots escaped him. He had the sort of returns amateur tennis players can only dream about. Rafa would have been beaten by him and possibly Fed

Injuries have take its toll. He'll be ready for the Australian Open and might still show some improvement in this tournament in the next match. You never know. A guy as talented as Djokovic. Don't count him out.
