Difference between a 1.30 and a 1.25 gauge string

From my experience snapback is almost the same between close gauges so spin is only marginally affected. On the other hand the thicker string will weight 1-2grams more which could be relevant.

1.30: slightly higher SW, more boardy feel, slightly stiffer, slightly more durable (from breakage not tension loss really) POSSIBLY more spin on edged strings due to proportionally bigger and sharper edges

1.25: slightly lower SW, less boardy feel, slightly less stiff, slightly less durable (from breakage), POSSIBLY more spin due to more string movement

Some strings act completely different in different gauges, I'd recommend trying both gauges of the same string to see which you like better.
