i was wondering if you were using the same string on the crosses at 1.35 gauge would it feel any different then a 1.30 or 1.25 gauge cheers

ok so im using a 1.30 at the moment and if i go down to a 1.30 i should have more spin and also when hybriding do u get more power then just using full poly, cheers

This is a puzzle for me. I had one racket with 16g kevlar on the mains with 16g natural gut on the cross and another racket with 15L NG on the cross. It seemed to me that the one with 15L on the cross gave me more spin. I would always hear guys say my ball is heavy. I don't hear that with the racket with 16g NG on the cross.

Although spin is completely dependent on the swing style, the string can help a little. With the second combination that you state(16M/15LC), think of a car crusing down the road and then hitting a series of speed bumps. This is very similar to what is happening with the ball when you hit with a topspin stroke.
However, I have to add that the pro who hits with the most TS today, uses 15g Bab Duralast - Rafa.
