Uh-oh. Equinox, you are getting Yonexitis.
In it's stock form, I felt the Ti80 lacked mass in the head, so I added about 6 grams of lead plus two layers of head tape. It also needs a fairly lively string (no poly or kevlar) and dampener. But it plays great, I agree.
I can't compare the Ti80 to the RDXmidplus since I only have the RDXmid. The main difference for me is the larger head of the Ti80, which allows for more margin for error and more spin. The RDXmid, however, has better control.
