With Nole proving beyond all doubt that he's 'the man' this year, I think it's a nice opportunity
to look at the attributes which have made him so dominant from the year 2011.

I compiled a bunch of videos which hopefully do justice to his abilities.

In a sense, this is a celebratory thread for the Djokovic fans, so enjoy!

Oh man, it is freaking amazing!

I freaking cried at "return of serve"

It would be great if you could make like... Djokovic 2011 season recap, with e.s. posthumus unstoppable music :))))

And also e.s. posthumus pompeii ... :D

Wimbledon tribute using pompeii is due by tomorrow, so watch out.

They were all beautifully done OP. Great work, and thanks for posting. :)

It seems to be inspired on Nver's work with The Federer Repertoire, which is also a great collection of videos.

I specially like The Forehand, because it shows how great of a weapon this stroke is, and how underrated it is among the top pros.

The thread mentioned about this video is this one http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=391195.

Btw, who's the girl in yout avatar OP? Just curious. :)
Thanks

Bang on. That was absolutely the inspiration.

The girl is Winona Ryder, who back in the day was absolutely beautiful, though still not looking bad at all in her late 30's (I think).

Nole's girlfriend is hotter though. :D

I see.

And oh well, I think I suck at recognizing hollywood celebrities...

Gotta see Black Swan now. :)

The thing I am so struck by in Djok 2011 is how he is able to change defense into offense in one stroke, on the flip of a coin. His defending is amazing, his attacking is equally amazing, but there is almost no clear line between the two. That is the only way I can put it.

If Djok had played Nad in the final at 2011 FO, somebody else taking out Fed naturally, I am of the opinion too that Djok would have soundly beaten Nad there also. But this doesn't mean Djok would have won the CYGS. Because if Tsonga hadn't taken out Fed at Wim, Fed would likely have beaten Djok on grass - to lose another Wim to Nad. So it balances out. :)

It was a great year of tennis, though, my perfect 2011 GS year would have been : Djok AO, Fed FO, Tsonga Wim, Djok USO. (sorry Rafa)
