Well, Woz is really good friends with Joker's GF, Jelena.

Nothing like two gossiping girls. ;) I'm sure Woz can get her inquisitive/curious mind satiated from the info Jelena dishes out about Novak's dirty little secrets.:)

Would Djoker be good looking enough to get Jelena if he wasn't a rich tennis superstar?

Yeah, they've been dating since high-school and I'm a female and I find Djoker very good looking, especially off-court. Everybody has different tastes, to some he might be ugly but different strokes for different folks and it's more than possible that she actually finds him good looking and that's even before we start on his personality which is pretty decent to say the least

Re-watched the Delpo-Djoker match. I just wanted to say that the Djoker has taken tennis to another level. He reminds me of the 2008 Rafa in ruthlessness and prime-Fed in terms of variety.

I've NEVER seen a player able to handle pace with the ease that Djokovic does. And then there is his insane returning. You aren't going to win many matches on the ATP if your 1st serve is utterly neutralized and dismantled.

Today was all about the current best player in the world being unplayable.

Novak just can't miss at the moment; just look at his backhand -it literally made me jump off my seat multiple times.

I honestly don't see Djokovic losing here unless Federer or Nadal play one of the best matches of their respective careers

They said all of these things about Nadal, Federer, Safin, Pete, and many others in the past. Every great player has his day....that's what keeps tennis interesting.

Sure and this is Djokovic's day.It will come to an end sooner or later (methinks later) but for now and the forseeable,he rules the roost!

Can't see ANYBODY stopping him winning the FO not while he continues to play at this level!!

His GF looks ok but i also heard he smushed Masha. -Good job, man.

Does anyone else think he looks kinda way too skinny lately.
Seriously that doesnt look healthy to me.
He has arms like a 12 yo teen.

^^^Djokovic has said himself that he lost a lot of weight, but he says he feels much better physically, he moves faster and hasn't lost any of his power on court. Last time I saw Djokovic somewhere similar to this thin was in early 2008 when he won AO. He was a lot more bulked up(for his standards) in 09/10. So clearly this weight seems to work best for him. Djokovic is naturally very thin anyway so I don't think it would be unhealthy unlike someone who say is naturally very bulky and is now this thin

I am unsure what that has to do with anything. But, I would appreciate a source that would verify that, otherwise it is only hearsay.

To answer your question, from an interview with Caroline:

Q.
What do you think of Novak?

A.
He’s a great guy. Smart guy and really down to earth, funny and when you get you to know him, he opens up more obviously. He’s a very, very nice guy I think. He has a girlfriend he’s had for a long time as well, and she’s also the nicest person, and I have a lot of fun. They always call and ask, “Can we stop by for a coffee or tea?” We go down on the beach, especially in the summer. I always see them in the same place. Every time we don’t even have to call, just go down, and they are there.

R4 presser.

Q. Was it easier than expected, or did you feel really fit?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: I don't think it's easy. It's never easy. I didn't expect it to be easy. That's for sure. Maybe the scoreline says differently, but I really-- I mean, I had to work, you know. First two sets it was only one break that decided, you know, those two sets. We were winning quite comfortably our service games. And, you know, as I said, each set I played one really good return game, and that was enough.

Q. You seemed incredibly relieved afterwards and relaxed. Did this match strike you with more nerves than normal?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: No, no, no. I was just aware that it's important match, you know. Before every match I have, you know, routine of preparing. You know, I accept every opponent very seriously. That was the case before this match. Obviously, you know, I knew he's going to have big support of the crowd, so I needed to be focused even more, you know, and try to play every point.

Even in the third set when I was up two breaks, I didn't want to relax, because I didn't want to give him opportunity to come back to the match. I have done great.

Q. You have been playing really well. Is there anything in your game that you want to improve for the second week?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Actually, I think I'm playing really well at this moment. And this match today I think I even increased a level since the last match, which makes me even more happier. So I just want to maintain this level.

Q. Out on center court this afternoon we had-- Stan and Roger were on, and then you and Gasquet. Four incredible backhands. Could you talk about the backhand, the one-handed versus the two-handed? Which overall do you think is stronger and who are the best backhands out there?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Well, to be honest, you know, even as a two-hander, I still think one-handed backhand is better to watch. Just it looks better when somebody hits it. I guess each of those, you know, two backhands have advantages and maybe disadvantages. It really depends, you know. Maybe nowadays, because of the bounce of the balls, which is I think higher than ever, than it used to be, maybe with a two-handed backhand you can get it on the top, you know, top of the strike zone easier than with one hand.

But still, one-handers can switch to slice much faster than two-handed. So there are advantages and disadvantages, I guess. And at this point, you know, you have obviously Roger and, as you said, Stan Wawrinka and Gasquet are three of the best one-handed backhands in the game. Gasquet, when he's in the zone, when he strikes that backhand, even today couple shots were just incredible. Great talent. You know, you need to, I guess, rely on all of your shots, not just your backhand.

Q. Couple of questions. Without divulging too many secrets, you say before each match you have a routine. Can you tell us about that routine?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Ah, well, I have routine of preparing. I have a practice, and like-- everybody has a special routine. Unfortunately I cannot share with you. Sorry.

Q. Your next opponent is Fabio Fognini. Did you follow his incredible match which he won on one leg, a string of winners?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Yes, I did. One of the strangest wins I ever seen in my life, really. (Laughter.) It was incredible for him to come up with the win out of that match. It seemed probably on, what, 6-All, 7-All it was impossible, you know. He was not moving at all. You know, he was hitting as hard as he can from the spot, and everything was going in, you know.

I really feel for Montanes. I can imagine how frustrated he is, you know. That's tennis, you know. It was really strange. I think every point in last two, three service games, Fognini was foot faulted. Really, people didn't know if they were amazed or if they were laughing or-- you know, it was a really interesting match to watch.

Congratulations to him for a great effort, obviously. I don't know now. I'll definitely-- I'm getting to that match like any other match: no underestimating opponents. He's a clay court specialist, so I definitely want to win.

Q. Do you think Richard Gasquet improved since your last match?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Yes, he has improved his game in general. I think it was not a lot in his game but more his, I think, mental approach to the tennis. I think he has more confidence that he can win big matches, win against top players, and results showed that. I mean, he's won against Roger. He's won Indian Wells against Roddick. You know, a couple of big wins. He's been playing I think consistently well now, which he wasn't before. So, you know, I'm sure that if he continues this way, he has a great chance to come to the top 10, you know. He has all the qualities, definitely.

Q. Obviously there's a lot of pressure, a lot of talk, the streak, No. 1, everything. And yet mentally you seem to be really in a zone. You seem to be handling it incredibly well. Is that something you had to work on, or is it just something that came naturally and you're just handling it well?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: Well, it requires definitely work and spending a lot of time working on the court, thinking about the sport, thinking about the best possible way to approach the sport. You know, try to have the emotional stability, you know, every day, because tennis has the longest season in all sports. And really it's really a requiring sport. You have to travel and play so many matches on different surfaces, different continents, different countries. It really is a mental game. In the end, everybody works very hard.

So I think it came as well over the years, because I have been really playing on the top level for last four years. And I have a lot of experience now, even though I'm still young. But I have a lot of experience, and I have been trying to learn every single day of my career. Now it's getting together.

Q. Like me, you're a Man United fan. I'm sure you watched the game yesterday. Would you say at the moment Barcelona are the Djokovic of the football world in terms of confidence?

NOVAK DJOKOVIC: I'm an AC Milan fan, but yesterday I was cheering for Manchester United, and it was-- it was I can say manifestation of greatest football team I have ever seen in my life and greatest football-- everything they have done yesterday was just what is football all about. You know, you have to give them a hand for that. You give them credit, congratulate. They're the best team in the world, no question about it. I was cheering for Manchester. I hoped that they can score from some corner or something like this, but nothing.

"zoning" even in his Pressers!

Reading that presser segment, I'm marveling at this guy's composure! I'm thinking he alternates his reading material every night from Chapter 1 of Match Play & the Spin of the Ball to The Inner Game of Tennis. No wonder the streak has happened.

Chardy could be a tricky opponent tomorrow, but more than likely Nole won't have to do much except watch him kill himself with his own UEs.

If this was a facebook status, Rafa would put "like it"

and his comment would be

"I think it would be unbelievable experience, no? Novak is playing very well. Unstoppable. He can jump without parachute, no?"

Djoko is slated to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday. Hmm...perhaps he could charm the socks off Mrs Cruise as well

LOL. Anything would be more charming to her than that nut she is married to, Tom Cruise. Just sayin.' Ahh, but the remaining time on that marriage is ticking as we speak......

(excerpt)

ATP World Tour No. 1 Novak Djokovic says that he is ‘flattered’ to be described by Serbia’s ambassador to the United States as the country’s biggest promotional asset. After advancing to the Rogers Cup quarter-finals Thursday with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Croatian Marin Cilic, Djokovic was asked to respond to comments last month from Vladimir Petrovic, Serbia's ambassador to the United States, who described the 24 year old as “the single biggest positive PR this country has ever had”. ....

As much of a Federer fan I am, I really miss Yoda :(. This is his time and he's banned.:(

Anyway ,Djokovic has Nadal's number right now and I find Djokovic to be a charismatic human being.

Seems that the Earth's mightiest will not play in the DC final in September as previously planned, due to personal reasons.
