vilas-lendl kitzbuhl.......... look at how deep vilas' shots are

does anyone loop the ball anymore?.... nadal?........ even moonballs, an old WTA thing

here are kerber and woz moonball........ that's a bit much.

one of my tennis thesis is that andreescu was so successful so fast is that her game has alot of variety....... is looping/moonball something players could add to their toolkits? or will they get slaughtered by modern strings?......... i know agassi found that he found it hard to get the ball deep with modern strings. so there's a trade-off

thanks in advance :)

Most of the ATP guys are capable of attacking the moonball. The girls often need to back up way behind the court and hit a loopy reply, but some of them can punish it.

I think it's more of a valid tactic in WTA for those reasons. Very often I've seen Muguruza throw in the moonball and win the next point on the next shot. Moonball - > loopy short reply - > step in and take the ball early for winner.

Andreescu is a big proponent of the moonball, and she often follows it up with an aggressive forehand winner

On the ATP...I have seen Nishioka do it occasionally, but nobody else who hasn't already been named comes to mind
