Does The Pro Staff 102 ROK?

I'm a 4.5 player who has used the HEAD LM Radical MP for about a year now. As I close in on 35 and find that I'm playing less and less (I'm a teaching pro and for those of you out there in the know I shouldn't have to say much more), I'm starting to think that perhaps I might benefit from a more forgiving frame. I've come across the Wilson Pro Staff ROK 102 and find myself intriuged. The specs. of the frame indicate that perhaps this might be what I'm looking for. I'd like to hear from any of you who have hit and or played with the 102 ROK.

i teach with my rok 93. the 102 is a completely different stick not sure what your looking for. i started teaching with an N6, but eventually i went back to teaching and playing with my rok.

I played the ROK for over a year and demo-ed the ROK 102. Prostaffer is right about the 102 being completely different.

When it comes to forgiving, I don't know what is more forgiving than the LM Radical. With some weight on it, it becomes even more so. Mine are a little over 12 oz, but you could put 2 g each on the 2 and 4 o'clock silver parts and gain stability and power without damaging maneuverability much.

This link has the details on weighting an LM Radical MP to 12 oz.

yep

perhaps we should ask....

are you looking for a new stick to play with or teach with?

i teach with player's frames, just the ones with really loose string. i'd try to explain it, but for some reason it doesn't kill my game as much, or whatever ounce of shame i call a game that i had.

I tried a ROK 102 and put it down half way through warm-up. Feels nothing like the 93, gets knocked around by even moderately hit shots, felt like it had been made by K-Mart. Comfort was a little better than average.

yup

yeah, to my knowledge, the rok 98 was playtested much more than the 102. my personal opinion is that they didn't much thought behind the 102 besides expanding the head size.
