Donnay Pro-One 18X20 Tri-Core-Is It That Good?

I'm Playing with a BB Melbourne & BB11 325g Which I really like, Stiffness 64. Delta core. I don't even Know what Delta-Core is. The claims about Tri-Core rackets versus holllow core or dual core rackets is quite Complex & Byzantine. The Physics is Daunting. I gather they claim different structural properties, less weight, less vibration, more power, ease of Plow through. less arm problems. Is this hyperbole or are the Rackets that Good. If they're that good, why aren't Pro's playing with them. There's a certain Elitism involved in presentation. Does anyone Play with the Donnay Pro-One Tricore 18X20 97sq in. Do you like them? What rackets play in similar fashion or are equivalent. Do they have adequate swing weight, power, & control. Do they bother your elbow at all. If the Stiffness is 64, this is equivalent to BB Melbourne, BB11 325g, Prince Rebel EXO-95. Is there any advantage of Donnay Pro-1 T3-18X20 97 relative to these frames. I'm considering buying a Lighty Used One from Website. I assume these rackets were borrowed & returned in Free-Trail Offer

go safe first...try before u buy...useless you got money to burn...(then buy me one-lol)
demo a few, donnay has a pretty good demo program..
also be open to try an angell

Don't be overly considered with the technology hypes..education yourself, yes...understand it the best you can...

bottom-line it is the best frame for you(body) and your game...
be open, don't limit yourself, be patient, have a plan of attack, don't be persuaded by others..
Don't be concerned what the pros are playing with (sponsors - and they get them customized)
you are expert of you....your hands and your game will know...

Also be mindful of the other ~50%, you know ...the thing that hit the ball....the strings....when factoring in arm friendly...

I have a pro one tri-core 16x19. It's actually a pretty closed pattern for a 16x19...given that's the case, the actual 18x20 must be incredibly dense.

Can you only buy a new Donnay direct from them? Which racquet currently available is closest to Murray's PT57A2 with a 16x19 string pattern, mid 50s flex, and just under 12 oz weight? His racquet's specs are my ideal specs on paper.

BB Melbourne is a very comfortable serious players racquet for traditional styles. It's a racquet that takes a while to get used to, but I love it.
Problem with the Donnay's is getting access to their frames to try them out and that's what's stopping people from buying them. I've owned both Platinum and Gold 99 X Duel and they were very comfortable, ultra thin frames. The pro one 18/20 feel much more convention in X Duel form but unfortnately have no experience with their latest offerings. You will need to get the customisation kit to get it to Melbourne specs.

I liked the pro one gt 18x20. Seemed to get more spin than blade with same pattern. Could be the extra mass in hoop from jelly filling xenecore helps some. Supposedly an open 18x20 pattern that had to something with James Blake. The speed pro is much denser in comparison. Pro one pattern seemed similar to blade. Place in Raleigh carries Donnay so was able to demo. Owner uses the tri core 18x20. I ended up going with 16x19 gt.

Does the Angell TC95 & TC97 incorporate same triple core technology as the Xene-Core Donnay Rackets. The Donnay has Xene-core Filler, the Angell a different Filler to eliminate hollow core or Air. So what differentiates The Donnay from the Angell Rackets. I first played with A Yonex Rsdi16X19 frame with natural gut after my elbow pain resolved playing with a Snauwaert Meso Graphite 2-Mid Graphite Wood Composite. My Strings constantly shifted doe to topspin, & I had to constantly readjust strings. After a short while the strings would break, due to sawing friction of shifting. I prefer the added control & precision of 18X20 frames. The added contact of a tighter pattern seems to give me more confidence, I can control the Trajectory of ball. I'm strongly considering restringing my 2 Boris Becker Melbourne rackets with Natural Gut at 2 different tensions & foregoing Donnay & Angell 4 now. The Natural Gut is better for my arm. I am also going to restringing with gut my Snauwaert Meso Graphite 2- Mid Graphite Wood Composite. I can't remember the recommended Tensions for this Mid Graphite Wood composite. Does anyone Know the recommended tension? Playing with the Snauwaert Mid Graphite Wood Composite Feels like great insurance to any arm risk. Maybe I'll alternate playing with BB Melbourne for a few months & Then the Mid Graphite Wood Composite. My Snauwaert Meso Graphite 2 racket appears to have 18X19 pattern, nice and tight. Must string fairly low tension.
