Down the Line--SW FH??? Help!!

I recently converted to the SW FH from the EF. In general, I like the SW. But, what is the trick to hitting it effectively down the line? Any tips on stance, contact point, swing speed, follow through would help tremendously.

I am talking about redirecting a cross court shot DTL for a winner...

It depends if you hit with an opened or closed stance. With an open stance you need to hit out on the ball when you make contact and not up as much, also if you make a little later contact and it doesnt put your timing off that can help to.

I'm hitting with a fairly open stance. It's not a shot I am hitting on the run...feet are set, lined it up...Just seems like I'm pushing them wide by 6-10 inches. I feel like I'm not cosistent with my contact point and maybe my swingpath and follow through need to be adjusted to compensate for the deflection? that occurs when you redirect a CC shot DTL???

You should redirect easy CC shots. I find that when I try it, the shot loses penetration when I redirect a hard CC shot DTL. Stance is irrelevant. Hitting a CC shot DTL will help reduce some loss in penetration for me.
BTW I hit with a eastern. If I try redirect a fast cc shot dtl by hitting the ball hard to try to penetrate more after the bounce, I will hit the ball long.
