I'm also wondering how they play. I heard they're actually pretty good .

If you do a search you'll finds thousands of posts on the Dunlop Aerogel racquets.

The AG100 plays great. It's currently my racquet of choice (and I've tried many!)

I'm used to play with the Aerogel 300 (still have but dont play with) and it was a really nice racquet. Once I found the right string setup, it was a very forgiving players frame with nice control. Only thing I wish was that it was slightly heavier and maybe a little more powerful. That is why I'm currently trying other frames.

I've only ever used the AG100. It didn't really suit me. Has a nice feel but my shots don't have much on them. Mostly because of the weight I think. My hitting partner tried it out and felt the same way. Beautiful PJ, though.

what was the perfect strong setup that you found?

Aerogel's are great but I personally play with 200 M-Fils 18x20. Before I bought my M-fils, I tried the 200 and 300 Aerogels. Personally, there wasn't a big difference between the 200 Aerogels and 200 M-fils. So, I went with the 200 M-fils because they were only half the price of the Aerogels at that point!

With Aerogel 200, my shots were flatter but the control was great. However, with my 200 M-fils, I could a little more topspin on the ball and the control wasn't bad either. Try one out, it's a good frame.

Thats why we have a thing called lead tape. Search for " Aerogel 300 customization " and you'll see how my AG300s weight 11.7 oz. I'll make it easier for you :)

I just got an aerogel 200. Being a longtime user of the 200GMW, I was in search of a replacement for the muscle weave and I have read some posts here saying that the aerogel plays very close to and is similar to mthe 200GMW. I find the aerogel to be lighter and stiffer and much lower powered than then the MW. I have 17'PSGD at 60# and it plays with much less feel than my old MW's. I think this racquet begs to be strung with a good soft string. Having said that, serving is good with this frame and control is also very good. It does not have the flex that the MW has, but that might not be a bad thing once I string it up with gut. I will play test this frame for the next 2 weeks and give a full report on my findings in the next 2 weeks. I do like the paint job, but the 200GMW IMO is one of the best looking racquets ever released.

I have used the AG 700...nice racquet, a bit too thick and powerful for me I think (I'm a 5.0/5.5 player but over 50)...killed my arm though and a bit too head heavy...added lead under the handle but perhaps not enough. Also, stringing was an issue, needed luxilon in the crosses to control the power gut in the mains...probably contributed to the arm issue. I need a replacement for my Cat 4 original now...any suggestions?

tenniscan, have you tried the Aerogel 500 Tour? I think you will find it to have less power and a bit more control than you did the AG 700.

Very much worth a demo try.If you can demo the 200,300,500 tour. The 500 tour is what I use now a very comfortable racquet nice pop and control. The 500 tour is very siniliar in play to the Head microgel extreme of you ever hit with one.

I'm currently demoing the AG200 right now. It feels very nice but the weight/balance is the problem for me. I don't get the same plow-through effect as I did from my old racket, Tecnifibre TFight 325. It's not that big of a deal on the forehand side but it really hurts you on the backhand side. Other than that, great control, very good spin.
