EOY ratings (a rumor)

End of year ratings will be released...

by the end of the year. Yes, it's just a rumor at this point. Speaking on the grounds of anonymity... local, state, sectional and national officials have said they "will be released by the end of the year." I believe this also was filtered down from the NTRP committee.

(I'm sure "they" also read this board. If so, I'm terribly sorry if I leaked this information out.)

Is it also true that some players will be "bumped up" while others will stay at the same rating? Can anyone confirm this? I would like to know ASAP.

even more ghastly is that some will be supposedly "bumped down", I don't know what could be more damming to a players pride

I have heard from the brother-in-law of my sisters former boyfriends mother that there are indeed rumors circulating that before, during or after the end of the year there could possibly be players that are 'bumped up', as well as players that remain unchanged and quite possibly players that are 'bumped down'....now, most of this could very well be determined as soon as it happens, possibly before but most certainly not after. All I can confirm at this point is that such a rumor has been posted somewhere on an Internet forum.

I heard they are trying to redistribute the talent, so that everyone is the same. Damn socialists! Also, there is a rumor they are going to give NTRP ratings to illegals. Even worse, you could end up in front of a down-rating panel, who could just strip all of your ball-striking ability away, no questions asked. It's just scary, what the US (TA) is coming to....

the good news is that the USTA has once again focused their officials to be on hand to call foot faults at regional and sectional competition this year

Hot off the presses! I have further learned that 2008 Year-End Ratings will be REPLACED - YES REPLACED by 2009 Year-End Ratings! Use your 2008 rating while there is still time!

Of course you realize ACORN is behind all this, falsifying people's ratings, registering dead people for league tennis, and even posing as league coordinators when they are in truth Chicago-style community tennis organizers bent on destroying the US(T)A.

ACORN is willing to help out those illegally selling their 'skills' to others and help them establish legitimate NTRP ratings! They've gone as far as importing Junior League 'skills' from El Salvador too. What IS the US(T)A coming to?
