I happy Ferrero won. I still think he can play better. In the 1st set ,from 0-2down to 5-2 up, he played his very best tennis. He never really reached those heights later in the match, but he played a sensible tie-break. Youzhny really should have broken in the 1st game of the 3rd. He was 40-15 up on Ferrero's serve and took control of both rallies, but both times he didn't do enough with the short ball (Ferrero still had to make two excellent shots to pass him). The only worrying sign was Ferrero's nervousness in serving out the 1st set.
Anyone else surprised this match was on Court 1? Maybe it was because of their form at Queen's. I'm glad it was. Ferrero, for some reason, seems to be quite popular with the British crowds. The organizers seem to quite like him too. Gave in a Wild Card and every year he plays here I'm amazed how often he's put on a show court considering his ranking hasn't been very high for quite a while.
