Finding a ProStaff Tour 90 replacement

Hi,

New to these forums but found it through Google, seems to have a lot of knowledgeable people here so I come to you for guidance.

I recently got back into playing tennis after an almost 5 year break. I used to play with a ProStaff Tour 90 and loved it. Unfortunately 5 years later I can't find my Tour 90 anymore . So it's time for me to buy a new racquet, but to my dismay Tour 90's are rather difficult to find so I figured I might as well update to a newer racquet.

I've already demoed a K SixOne 90 and 95 and rather enjoyed it but not sure if it's the one for me. Any suggestions on similar racquets to the Tour 90 (Other than the new K SixOne's).

Wow... the rds isn't even close to similar.

The K90 is indeed a popular choice. I used to use PS90s myself but after finally admitting that I was not in good enough shape to make full use of the racquet, I converted over to my PC600. Seeing as how a secondary will be hard to come by, there's a good chance I'll be moving on to at redondo.

But for your purposes, try looking towards the heftier mids, i.e. Microgel Prestige or Prince Original Graphites. However it's hard to match that plow-through feel of a PS90. A K90 may end up to be the closest thing to it.

I was once a user of the PS Tour 90, IF you'd like to have a PS Tour 90 replacement, I'd think the K90's the only one to match it.

The K90 might be the closest thing you get. You don't HAVE to match up with the 90's though. If that's just what you like, try looking in TW's headsizes section with the mids.

You can still get brand new Tour 90's on the big auction site. If you want a newer frame then go with either the Ncode90 which you can get cheaper than the Tour 90 on the big auction site or the K90. I think the Tour 90 goes for $159 while the Ncode 90 goes for $139.

^I recently got 3 n90s from that seller for $139 each, I was afraid that seller might run out of stock, it turned out he/she from Canada still have a huge stock. IMHO, nCode 90 Tour is as close to PS90 Tour as it gets.

Hmmm, I haven't been able to play with a nCode 90 yet so not sure if I want to drop the money before I get to play with one. I haven't found a shop near me that has one to demo .

So far I've played with the K Six One 90 and 95 and the 90 is something I really like, I've been playing for an 1-2 hours at a time without getting really tired, so the part I've been seeing a lot is how the K90 can tire you out really quickly doesn't bother me.

I'm just trying to come up with a list of new/recent racquets that are similar to the T90 to try out before buying a set.

My list as of now to play with is:
-Babolat Pure Storm
-Head Microgel Prestige (A shop near me has a FlexPoint Prestige for a lot cheaper, how does this one compare to the newer Microgel?)
