First Tourney Tomorrow !

Yep, first tourney of the year tomorrow. Playing in the morning, and again after lunch if I win.

Playing up a few grades this year to aid my improvement. Been visualising all week, and feel relaxed as a result.

Never played there before, so its nice to walk into somewhere where no one knows you.

ive got a easter torny coming up........hope i win

Went down 3 and 4 Im afraid...

But i'm taking away all the positives I can. I gave 2 break points in the match, and he took them.

I had 4 break points on him, but I didnt take em.

He was a good, solid player, so I'm glad it was that tight. Being the first comp match of the year, I'm happy enough. I was very relaxed, which for me is good.

Lessons to learn:

1. More focus early in the set. Both my breaks were 1st and 2nd games of the sets.

2. Need to attack more in comp, as I do in practice.

3. Be prepared to rally some more. Attack ONLY the short ball.

I played my 3rd tourney of the year this weekend. I had to play Thursday night, Friday night and Satuday morning. I lost my Saturday morning match because I was up all night with a sick child. I try to pump myself up with coffee but my legs were totally gone.

Lol, actually it was a good draw. Some top ranked players were there. Glad I didnt draw one of them.

Just got the draw for my first tournament(s) of the year - the regional mens indoor championsship. Sigh. I get to play the #4 seed in the singles tournament (a guy atleast two, if not three, levels above me - I'll be *very* lucky to get even one game in that match) and the #3 seeds in the doubles tournament (I think we'll have better chances here - slightly... )

Ah well, this will be a quick tournament for me
