fischer racquet lengths

I just noticed that the buttcap on the fischers jutts out a little and if you were to neglect the 0.1-0.2 inches jutting out, the racquet would actually be a little shorter than standard length. So when fischer states its racquets as being 27.4" long, I think they are just trying to compensate for the buttcap..

For those of you who get put off by extra long racquets, when fischer says its a 27.4" racquet, they mean its pretty close to standard length.

I would say that is accurate. In fact, traditonally, the standard length Fischers measure slightly shorter than standard even including the Serena butt. Dont now about the new MSpeeds however as i've never hit those

NBM, I have already played with both the C10 Pro and Tour 10 MP. These are the only racquets besides the fischers that have a good feel. Do you have any info about the fischer revolution pro classic (98 sq.in. 21mm constant beam)? I like the fischer feel too but the vt pro is a little funky with its 20-25 mm beam. Any input about the revolution pro will be appreciated. I am looking for a net stable and good feeling flexy racquet.

i agree about the Fischers and the Volkls. Nothing else really gives that type of solid hit and smooth feedback and response. I get the Revolution series mixed up but if you are talking about the bright yellow RevPro with some gray I hit I used that frame for a while...sounds like the same specs but i dont rem the beam being that wide. it's nice..low powered..smaller sweetspot for it's headsize and typically Fischer solid and well made. Have you tried the new MSpeeds? Thats what i would try next if I were you..or the DNX9

Yes, the rev. pro was the all yellow with the 21 mm constant beam. The VT pro was the one kafelnikov used and was the red one with the 20-25 mm beam, the descendant of which is the mspeed. I found it to be a little overpowered for me, so I was thinking about the all yellow rev. pro. The dnx 9 is not available yet, is it?

If Julia Stiles dreams in Europe then you can get a DNX9 now, otherwise out in the states in the summer. I'm not a big believer is switching to discontinued frames except under some unusual conditons. ok, so i finally figured out you dont like variable width beams..i think you would get used to it...i used the VTPro98 for a pretty long time not previously ever playing a variable width (the Blue/Purple ones with the exposed layup)..i mean a real exposed layup and not that goofy triple threat braided looking stuff which are only decals.

Thanks for the comments NBM. The rev pro is not only discontinued, but fischers and volkls are not carried by my local store which makes it even harder to find. I will just have to stick with the volkl tour 10 MP for now..
