Forward spin service toss ruining my game

hi - I see there are a million and 1 threads on this board relating to service toss so it seems I'm not the only one with an inconsistent service toss! Annoying thing is serving used to be best part of my game, but recently almost every toss has spin on it.

i.e. at its worst, on the deuce court I toss the ball in an arcing motion back over my head, yet its spinning on an axis that would take it towards the right hand corner of the court if it were to bounce. That is always the motion. Never to the right, left, or in front...always over my head. So its basically skimming off the end of my fingers. Even holding the ball just in my finger tips doesn't help that much.
Do you think that means i'm releasing too late? I'm fairly sure its not my wrist...any thoughts/tips i'd be grateful ??!

dont use legs with the toss, use only the shoulder. make the ball up straight when you toss it(even before it leaves your hand it should be going straight up). Use your fingers to hold the ball, no palm. When you let go of the ball, quickly open your hand, dont actually toss it up using your fingers.

I also use no palm but place the ball in contact with all of my fingers. When I toss, I don't deviate in the last motion which is to "propel" the five fingers upward as if they are one "piece" hinged at the wrist.

I also had the problem in the past because I unconsciously use my wrist and fingers (which create spin on the ball when it rolls on the fingers on the way up) in a motion where the wrist flicks and fingers are pointed back toward me. And because my finger can bend backward, holding the ball with them sometimes create the same problem.

The extreme solution is holding the ball with just your fingertips. That way it doesn't roll on anything and there's no spin to it (like a knuckleball vs fastball).
Finally remember to keep your tossing wrist firm (it's very hard to do at first) so the motion is consistent.

Hold the ball like a soda can and release at head level (so that you are not holding on to long, even as your arm extends up for balance. You can't really spin the ball then.

As for the motion itself, break the serve into parts - motion up with the toss and taking the racquet back, knee bend,, and then back up to hit the tossed ball - don't knee bend and toss at the same time.

As Nellie said, can of soda.... not mug of beer or sack of rocks....
And spin don't matter, toss LOCATION is everything.
Here's a new solution...try practice !!
