Going to a Nike outlet tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I am leaving for a little shopping trip with my wife. While she is excited about IKEA and maybe the Puma outlet in Gilroy, CA, I have been itching for a chance to make my way back to the Nike outlet at the same location.

The location is about 2.5 hours away, so we do not make the trip that often. I have another Nike outlet about 1 hour away, but they never have any decent tennis stuff.

Can anyone give me the breakdown on what Nike outlets have had recently? The last really interesting thing I found at this outlet in Gilroy was the Nike Revive (replaceable soles), but with the Grand Slam edition of soles. I really have not seen them described anywhere ever, and I have always regretted not picking up that pair of shoes for collections sake. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Cheers!

Nope. They did not have any tennis shoes in stock at all, besides a few random pairs on the wall. A little disappointing, but then again, my wife said I cannot buy more shoes until I start wearing my Nike Cage I's that I have in waiting.

Clothes were even substandard. The had a few generic polos and a few crews from this past season, but they were still $29.99. Nothing special. They had two pairs of Nadal long check shorts in bright blue from the Australian Open for about $19.99, but only two M and I would need a L.

I did pick up a few wristband sets however. One generic white with green swoosh and the other was blue with yellow swoosh.
The second pair was worn by Nadal at the 2007 US Open:

They also had about 6 or 7 pairs of Nadal wristbands that he wore at the 2008 French Open. Was going to pick some up, but I really have no use for all green and gray wristbands. They would go with my Nadal 2008 French Open bandanna, but hey, I can't pull off the look so I don't wear it. :)

Cheers!

Hi Bri-guy, about that green bandana that you don't have use for, I'm wondering if you'd be interested in selling it. I'm in Australia and it's damn near impossible to find, along with those green/grey wristbands that seem readily available where you are.

I'd be happy to negotiate a price for it (and the wristbands if you pick them up!) and cover shipping costs. Shoot me an email (Ace_of_Hearts2828@hotmail.com) if you don't mind going through the bother of posting it over to me for a sum of money you probably don't need.

Cheers, and congrats on your successful start to competitive play!

Btw first post...so apologies to any mods if this isn't supposed to be in this thread but it seemed logical for a direct reply. I'll keep future offers/requests to the classifieds section.

Yeah I remember the Grand Slam Edition Revives. They had a blue, red, green, and i think something with white, to represent each slam. They weren't available in the states and I remember seeing them all over UK websites in 2007.

You should've picked them up. My boy who has an un-ending supply of Revives still wished he would've gotten those Grand Slam versions.

BTW, how much did you get the Nadal pro wristbands for? I bought all that was left at an outlet here for like $1.79 each and sold them on e'Bay for over $10 each. The USO07 and FO08 wristbands.

every Nike outlet is different, however in CA the one in Cabazon has always been top notch. However, due to the distance I am not sure which is better for you driving to Cabazon or going to Beaverton for the big show.

The one Nike Outlet by me have Vapor VI white/sterling blue in all sizes (6.5-13) for $80. And CB1.2 white/blue in all sizes for $50...

It's a hit or miss, so don't get your hopes up too high...

Haha!

Well, my Nike outlet near me seems to be out of the wristbands. That is, of course, if I can trust the sale's rep. on the phone. I am, however, working on picking up some more.

Is it funny that on one pack of my wristbands I bought, Nike spells Roger's last name as "Federeer?" I find it quite amusing. Maybe I'll post a pic soon! :)
