Good tennis club to join in Seattle

Hello, I'll be moving for work in Seattle, somewhere between Westlake and SLU area. I'm looking for a tennis club that has early morning tennis sessions (like pre 7am), is somewhat close to that area. So far I've only found the Sandpoint club, and the Amy Yee tennis club, but they're both like a 30 min drive away from where I work, in both the North and South directions. So far I'm liking the Sandpoint club since they do have early morning sessions, but I was wondering if there was anything that would be closer in the area. I also found the Seattle Tennis Club....but I couldn't find any information about their tennis programs on their website at all... (and it also looks like a pricy club with expensive membership fees).

So I was wondering if you guys would have any recommendations of where to go to play tennis.

I'm also looking to join some doubles leagues and singles tournaments, but I have no idea how the USTA works in seattle, so any direction or help for that would be greatly appreciated too!

Besides Amy Yee and Sandpoint, I don't know of many other clubs in Seattle. Which part of Seattle are you at?

I'll be visiting Bellevue/Seattle this summer if you want to hit.

In this part of the country, if you're not playing indoors during the fall/winter/spring, you're not playing. So there are a lot of indoor clubs. I live in Redmond and play out of Central Park in Kirkland. Give me a shout when you're out here.

Seattle Tennis Club is the place to be seen if you're a successful professional. Beautiful grounds, high end amenities. I believe the initiation fee is $90k, with monthly dues right at about $1k, and rumors are you need two letters of recommendation from existing members to join. That's probably not pricey in some place like New York but it is way at the top end in the Seattle area.

It's like a boat. Better to make friends with an existing member who can sneak you in. One of the only places with clay in the PNW, too. Disappointingly, the tennis there is actually crap. Old men with NPD tapping and back and forth to each other.

Their 55+ 9.0 men's team is a fairly consistent top place team in our flight and they have a doubles team which is a contender in national level age group tournaments. But at the 55's and beyond, many players would settle for just being on the court tapping it back and forth to each other rather than off the court recovering from a joint replacement.

I live closer to Belleview. I personally dont go to clubs, but Belleview club is one of the cheaper ones. I'm broke so no clubs, and only play on my neighborhood courts. But weather these days make it tough. always wet

Weather has been super bad all of January but we had a few dry days and it looks like a few more to come.

I'm hoping in the next week or two, to be organizing a larger gathering at one of the indoor facilities. I'm hoping we might get as many as six to eight people from the forum. Keep an eye open!

I actually got to play with my dad today!, courts were surprisingly dry despite the rain last night.

As a dad, I love nothing better than to hit with my son. Well, except maybe when he's blasting balls by me. But I'm his stringer so if it gets too bad, I sabotage his racquets! :happydevil:
