Gut hybrids (Babolat/Luxilon vs Pacific ATP)

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can provide details of any experiences with gut(M)/poly(X) hybrids.

I use gut main and poly cross. I have tried babolat tonic & VS 16g mains with both ALU rough and Original rough cross. I like these setups. Tonic with BB is fairly cost effective (atleast it was before the gut prices went up).

Can anyone provide any experiences on how the Pacific ATP hybrid 16 plays, specifically with the gut on the main and poly in the cross.

Are there any noticable differences and which hybrid setup is better? Also anyone used any other setups with say Klip gut etc?

Cheers,

stick with the babolat and luxilon. i use that very set up and ive tried the pacific and the gut isnt the same quality or the poly for that matter. i liked the bab/lux 100% better. dont even try the pacific.

I have been using the following hybrid on my "TGK237.1" Head Micro Gel Prestiges:

Main: Wilson 15L Natural Gut 58 lbs

Cross: Black Code 17 52.2 lbs

It feels solid, great ball pocketing and great bite on the ball. However, it's not super stiff like Lux BB ALU Rough, which gave me elbow problems.

I have been using gut mains ( Pacific or Bow) and TiMO crosses. I like the way the ball sort of cups a little longer on the strings. Or at least it feels like it does.
