HEAD Flexpoint Prestige MP vs BABOLAT Pure Storm Tour +

I am currently using the Head FXP Prestige MP, which is discontinued. Although I can find them on a website for a cheap price, I want to switch to a new racquet now, rather than switching to one down the road when tennis will be crucial for it to help me get into college. (BTW I am in the 14 and unders as a junior.) I just wanted some of you guys to compare the two rackets and if it would be a wise switch, not a drastic one. I like the specs on the PST + and it seems it would fit my game nicely, maybe just a little time to get used to. I am not a fan of the Aero Storm Tour as a note, if that has any affect whether I will like the PST +.

Thanks in advance for any posters who may help me review and compare the two, and maybe which one you'd prefer.

From my brief hitting with it, here is my input. I'm a high school player, played varsity last year as a sophomore, going to be a junior this coming year.

I used it for a drill during camp (ping pong tennis if you've heard of it). Mostly groundstrokes. To me, the PST felt really sluggish. Maybe it's because the other two sticks I was hitting with (Dunlop AG100 and AG4D 300 tour) had much lower swingweights (AG100: 312, 300 tour: 320ish, PST: 338).

I will hit with it more in the morning and over the weekend.

Sluggish meaning? I'd have to check out what the Flexpoint Prestige MP's swing weight was...

Edit: 322 for the Flexpoint.

Don't know if I can help you

I own 6 PST NON + versions, as I'm 6' 4" with plenty of reach.

I tested the PST up against the Head MG PP and the Wilson KBlade 98 and all racquets were great - but in the end decided to get the PST.

However at the net the PST is only average, but I added some lead (2 x 4 grams) and a head protection tape (5 gram) to all my 6 PST's and also got rid of the original synthetic grip and installed a Head leather Tour grip and a white overgrip on top of that, so the overall weight of the racquet now is in the 350 gram category, which gives me more plow through and better stability at the net.

I really like this racquet - will probably consider the new PST Gt model, when it comes, but for now I'm very happy with my 6 PST frames :)
