Head IG Radical MP vs Ti Radical MP?

G'day all,

Need some help if I may please.

I have recently discovered a crack on my beloved Head Ti Radical MP and seeing that it's quite an old racquet, I struggled to find a replacement.

Having read a lot of positive review of the IG range, I'm just wondering if anyone is experienced with the Ti and IG Radical MP and can advise the "feel" of IG in comparison to the buttery/ twin tube/ flex "feel" of Ti? I'm particularly interested in the feel/ connection with the ball as volley's and drop shots are my favourite.

I have trialed an i.Radical (very similar to Ti but feels lighter) and LM (feels stiffer, head heavier and more power) but they are just not Ti. If anyone can advise that would be much appreciated. Many thanks!

PS I normally string with Big Bang ALU Rough @53lb

L5 i Radical (austrian) MP is just as good as the ti radical (better I think) but super hard to find, I am lucky to have 2 and you can't have them. Agree the L4 chinese i Radical is not similar to the ti Radical but I think it is a nice stick...albeit more pop....

I think the ti Radical is fantastic if you can find a couple of replacements I would endorse ending the quest for a new frame.

Thanks hrstrat57, think I'll take your advise and aim for the vintage racquet. I must admit I enjoy playing with the older racquets than the newer technologies - trialed the IG Prestige S recently and whilst it's powerful and precise, it simply lacks the feel/character of an older racquet.

Interesting you mentioned about i.Rad L4 being made in China. My i.Rad is L4 and it has a "Made in Austria" sticker on the butt cap. I agree that it is the closest thing to Ti and in many ways plays better but I am accustomed to the "flex" of Ti - it's personal lol.

Never seen an i Radical MP L4 made in austria = didn't know it existed in fact...is it glossy or sticky paint? (both of my L 5's are the sticky paint job)

Anyhow good call on the ti Radical...sweet stick still ridiculously undervalued and easily avail....I do not understand why.
