Head Pro Tour 280 OS / 690: Any info, and a question

Wanting to hear general assessments of the OS versions of the Pro Tour MP - I believe there was a 280 OS version, and also a 690 version (same mold? essentially same frame? specs on either? compare to 280 MP/630).

Last, any current Head grommet sets fit the OS?

My father-in-law used the 280 OS for a number of years. Very nice groundstroke stick, excellent comfort and plow-through, just like the 280MP. I believe all 280 OS were the original "made in Austria" version. Volleys were solid but required good prep. The only bad spot was the serve. I honestly think it may have been the toughest racquet to get through and snap the flat serve I've ever used. A definite slow mover for that stroke. It's the kind of frame you take to a clay court and just park behind the baseline and smack groundies all day. Not sure but I would imagine any of the radical OS grommets would fit, as I believe it was the same headsize as the original radical OS model. Good luck.

No. The Radical Tour 260 midplus and oversize came out in 1993. The Pro Tour 280 midplus (630) and oversize (690) came out in 1994. Both racquets came out of the same mold just with different layups.

NO. When the original Radical Trisys 260 mid plus came out it was 20mm. The Pro Tour 280/630 and Radical Trisys 260 used the same mold with just a different layup.
It was not until 1999 when HEAD changed the mold on the Radical with the Ti. Radical mid plus. Then the Ti. Radical became 21mm and a more aerodynamic or rounder less box like shape.

I have not tried this but I think the Ti.Radical Oversize might fit. You can give it a try.

I believe those are the same grommets as the Ti.Radical Oversize/i.Radical Oversize grommets because the Agassi Radical Ltd. Edition uses the same mold Ti.Radical/i.Radical.

238 and 293 molds are very similar to PT57A – but 1mm thicker right? ( @dr325i/ @vsbabolat )
