Help adding weight to my racquet

Hello everyone, I´ve been reading this forum long ago but haven´t start a thread.

I´m from México and I´m an intermediate-advanced player, I use an stock (no weight added) AeroPro Drive 2013.

I love the feel of this frame and the spin, but recently I used a Blade 93 and my shots were a lot heavier with this frame than the aeropro drive but liked a lot more the feel and everything overall from my aeropro drive so the question is…

The 23g more of the blade added more weight to the ball so the shots were heavier?

If so, I would like you to help me to add weight to my aeropro drive without changing the feel a lot.

Thanks in advance!

The Blade is heavier, but it's also how the weight is placed. The Blade has a higher swing weight because it's not very head light for its weight class. It also has more closed strings. These will help you hit a lower, more penetrating shot compared to the APD which is meant for heavy spin.

I would add lead to the hoop of your APD to help it feel a bit more like the Blade. You can add some lead tape at 3 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and a little at 12 o'clock. If the balance gets too far off, you can put a bit of weight in the handle using something like tungsten putty or blue tack. The good news is that lead tape and putty are easy to add and remove, so you can play around with them to see what you like. Don't add too much at once. Especially at 12 o'clock, a little lead (even just 2g) goes a long way.
