HELP, catch me up!!

Over the last couple years I've become quite the tennis fan, following the results day by day. But since this year's Australian Open I haven't paid too much attention to what's been going on. Now that the French Open is here tennis has grabbed my interest again as this is my favorite event (or tied for my favorite with the USO).

Now I was looking at the draw the other day and noticed a few people are missing and it got me asking myself a few questions. I could probably search and find the answers to the following questions but I figured it be easier and more knowlegable if I just asked the TW crew here.

So major props to whoever can help me with these questions!!

Now even though I've been away I do know of a few things that have happened in the last few months (basically stuff I've seen on Sportscenter here in the States). I do know that Federer lost twice to Canas on hardcourts, lost to Volandri, and did snap Nadal's clay streak. Other than those few things I don't know what's been going on lately so my questions are...

(Q1.a) Why is Murray not in the draw? My assumption would be that he's injured. Is this correct? And if so, (Q1.b) what happened to him and how long is he out for? (Q1.c) Is Gilbert still coaching him or did they have a fallout?

(Q2) Why is Haas not in the draw? Is he injured?

(Q3) Joachim Johansson was out for a long time last year but I did see him play in a few tournaments a while back. I didn't see his name in the FO draw so what's the story with JJ?

(Q4) Is Lleyton Hewitt playing at a championship level once again? Some of the things I've read here lead me to believe he has re-emerged as a top player.

(Q4) Clijsters. I know she is expected to retire soon but she is not in the women's draw. Surely she didn't retire without me knowing, so what's the deal with her? Injured is my guess. Is that correct?

(Q5) When is Puerta scheduled to return? Or has he already? I know he's due back sometime soon but did not see him in the draw so I'm guessing he is still banned as of right now? Can somebody update me on his status?

Thanks in advance for answering these 5 questions!!!

Seriously, you couldn't look at the first two pages of this part of the forum, or use the search tool?

It's late for me, but I'm sure somone will answer your questionnaire soon enough.

1) Injured-wrist, at Roma TMS. Out until the grass season at least. Gilbert is still coaching him (officially).

2)Haas-injured shoulder.

3)Not sure on this one, probably re-injured.

4)Clijsters has officially retired, due to injuries disrupting her swansong season.

5) Probably still banned. Probably will never hear of him again. He ain't no spring chicken.

"Catch me Up. " are you from Nova Scotia? That expression is particular to certain parts of the English speaking world. Others might say "Get me up to date" . I had never heard it until I heard a person from the east Coast of Canada say it. It may also be used in Scotland or Ireland where East Coasters originated.
