how do i start mains with a starting pin?

im going to use a silent partner swing, by the way. I saw YULitle's video on how to start mains with flying clamps, but how do you do it with flying clamps AND a starting pin? someone told me that YULitle's method of starting with a double pull was bad, as it will give an uneven stringbend. any thoughts?

I was gonna make this long explanation, but I remembered this badminton site where I found out how to use a starting pin. It's the same idea for a tennis racquet.

Also, in Yulitle's version, you only double pull the first two mains to set the anchor. You actually go back and tension both strings.

hmm, i think i'll start using YULitle's way; the badminton site is far too confusing.

Yea, it makes it a bit confusing, but basically, you use the starting pin to hold tension on the very first main you tension. After that, you tension the other side until you have enough room to move the clamps. Then go back and retension the main with the starting pin and reclamp. It's really simple, actually. It's jsut kinda hard to explain.
