How to start Mains with flying clamps and not double pull

I've watched Yulitle's videos (practically all of them), but I'm interested in this one for now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KO9qWaom4cg

Which is his video on how to start mains with flying clamps and not double pull.

My questions is: How would you start mains AND double pull? What does double pull mean?

Also, where he uses a flying clamp to clamp outside of the frame (at the throat), why couldn't I use my starting clamp to do that? It's a lot less bulky and fits much better and actually seems to hold better when it's just a single string.

Finally, his comments on the video say "This isn't a perfect replacement to starting with a starting clamp, but it's close."

That seems to imply that if you have a starting clamp, there is a better way to start your mains? But I didn't see any video of his which demonstrates how. All of his videos on starting mains (besides this one) are demonstrations using fixed clamps.

Can anyone enlighten me?

I am curious about this too. I don't see what the difference is between a starting clamp and a flying clamp. They both are used for the same purpose....to hold the strings/tension.

There seems to be a few different methods of starting your mains. But I want to know which is the best on a dropweight machine and with a starting clamp?

I am not sure what "double pull" means? First I thought it meant pulling tension on 2 strings at once. But then I thought it meant pulling tension only from one side of the racqet, so you are pulling on 2 strings at once betweem clamping.

I just realized I posted this same exact question in another thread. Does anyone know the answer to this question originally posted by sstchur?

Double pulling is pulling tension on two strings at the same time. YULitle does not do this. He pulls tension on the first two mains just to set the tension in the clamp then he releases the tension. Then he pulls tension on one string and clamps it outside the frame. Then he pulls tension on the first main on the other side of the racket and so on.

Double pulling would be when you clamp the first main on the left and right of center then pull tension on the second main and clamp it to the first main. In this case you are pulling tension on the first and second main at the same time.

Double pulling is also a process where you pull tension on a string, release the tension, and pull tension again before you clamp it off. This is done many times by stringers when they have a hard weave. But that is not what YULitle is talking about in this video.

Here is an example of YULitle doing a double pull for the second at about 6:40 seconds. It is a little hard to see, becaue it is in fast forward, but he double pulls the second cross.
