I just cracked my brand new yonex mp tour 5

I was serving and it slipped out of my hand and hit the ground and cracked right at 12 o clock. I think it was actually due to the isometric shape that less of the blow was deflected. I've done that with my head several times and haven't had any problems with it. I was reading on here about somebody reinforcing a racquet. I think I'm going to see if I can come up with something to patch it. If anybody has done this or has any ideas I'm open.

I'm not sending it back. If I can't fix it I'm going to play with it at my next club practice and pretend to get really mad and just completely smash it on the ground and make everyone think that I'm crazy. :)

Why, that's just not very smart. If you don't want to send it back just give it to me with the reciept.

LOL. A friend of mine did that with an old Prince racket. He was playing rubbish, flipped and wrapped the racket around one of the net holders. No one was there to see it though.

Just accept the fact that throwing a racquet on the ground is not a good thing to do. I broke a racquet in high school during a tournament that way. I ended up finishing the match with it broken because I didn't have a spare. After that I started to pay attention to how worn my grip was and whether it was maintaining it's tackiness when soaked with sweat. Now I always carry spare overgrips in my bag just in case.

You could send it back and be truthful. Tell them it slipped from your hand, and mention that your "other brand" has slipped a couple of times from you hand too, and "it" never broke. There's a good chance they'll send you a new racket. Afterall, they want to keep you as a Yonex customer.
