If you can please give some tips or criticism

Hey everybody, Here is a video of me hitting at first and then at the end we played some points. This was my third time out after a 2.5 month break. This video was not that good and had some short rallies because my partner was not on par today(he drank 2 much). I had already played for 6 hours before my partner came that I recorded this video with. I will post a video with better hitting, hopefully tomorrow. By the way any tips are apreciated. I would also like to hear any comments you guys have.
P.S, I am 15 and have been playing tennis for 2 years without any lessons. I also wanted to ask whether you guys think I should be playing tournaments as a tool for my game to get to the next level. I still don't have the same kind of rackets because I am a kid and my parents won't pay for my tennis I have to pay for everything and tournaments are very expensive. So do you guys think its worth it or not because I was planing on geting the same kind of racket with the money I will soon posses.
enjoy. I start serving at about 7:40

I know, however my forehand is way more powerful and is more of a wepon. I will post a video with better angle so you guys can see where the ball lands and then you can decide which one is better.

ur backhand is very nice
about ur forehand, quite often in the moment of hitting the head of your racket is behind the handle which means u dont actually hit that ball, u just push it back, try swinging rackets head much faster and ur forehand will be great

On your forehand, you should work at getting your racquet head around and through the ball. You have a very nice backhand. The only thing I would suggest there is to stay down, your back leg has a tendancy to come up each time because your front leg is straightening up.
Overall though, nice strokes.

Impressive-looking strokes for 2 years without lessons. I dont' see too many people who can do that around here, but maybe its because I'm too used to playing with adult league players. I love the backhand, but forehand is decent too. I bet you like to watch federer play.

Not really I am more of a fan of agassi and peolpe like Nalbandian but I play more like Fed because he was my fav player when I started playing tennis. None the less I enjoy watching Wawrinka or Gustavo

Well, I only watched a bit of the first part. Out of all the strokes, you hit, maybe, a couple where everything came together, but that's not bad. If you can hit one (near) perfect shot, you can do it again.

So, what you need to do is practice. Find someone who can hit you medium-paced, consistant balls-- and you need to try to hit every ball back as exactly the same as you possibly can.

Move up, move back, get down low, so you are not stretching, groping, out of poistion and changing your stroke pattern to adjust to the ball.

Then, once you have your stroke grooved very nicely, start hitting them back-- to a specific spot.

and to the OP, about your parents not paying your tennis expenses:

I played hockey growing up and my parents half-heartedly supported me in that. tennis-wise I always had the basic gear and such, but they never really paid for a great deal of lessons or camps for me. when I was 15 I think I had less developed shots than you have right now. I'm 20 now and I've made tennis a big priority in my life at least during my non-school time and recently tried out and made a 4.5 league in the city where I live. I've yet to get any sort of regional ranking but I'm playing my first open tournament in 3 weeks. just stick with it and you'll be a good player. as for tournaments, maybe it's not the best way to improve. does your high school have a tennis team? I played varsity in Norcal for 1 year and had a great time as well as made huge strides in my game. my shots didn't necessarily get better, but I learned to play a lot smarter and to exploit my game to the fullest under pressure.

thanks guys. I just had an amazing hitting session today. Me and my hitting partner were playing for points without the serves and almost all our rallies were 10+ shots. We were hitting with alot of pace and we had about 3 rallies with 60+ shots where we were hitting with alot of pace and deep. This video as I said before is a very poor representation of my game because I was tired and my hitting partner had a little too much to drink. Also my partner dose not like it when I film, he believes that I don't need other people telling what I should do because I don't need it. He says my biggest weakness is my mind and if I could get over that I could accomplish amazing things.( he is right, I am not always very serious and focused as I can and should be). So thank you everybody. I did incorporate hitting through in my forehand. I realize that when I let my forehand go and not hold back anything it is very good, however I tend to hold back some and today I realized how wrong I was. If I don't hold back its a great weapon. My backhand on the other hand is not a weapon but a solid stroke which I can use to keep the ball consistantly deep. I might post a video of myself again someother time.

Revo,
Are you using a Prince Original Graphite OS?

i decided to take a look more carefully

so here are some more suggestions:
about backhand, ur technique seems nice but also you should hit it much more and swing racket head much faster because it very often looks like pushing, just take care that your racket goes through the ball, i would recommend you to try just hitting it with full power

about serve, its nice, but u should still work on ur ball toss and "jump" higher while serving, toss the ball higher and of course forward and jump onto it and put ur whole body weight into it (after a really good serve ur feet should be at least 1 step inside the court

You are totally right on the part that I need to play with full power. The amazing hitting session I described (I did not record it) happened because I let go of my strokes and forgot about winning or loosing and concentrated on the ball. I did not care about making a mistake and this really helped me hit through my forehand and my back hand was solid. Also I am working on the serve. My first serve is really consistant and comes in about 110mph(I never actually measured it). But I am still working on what you described about my serve. I have to focus on the aspect of transfering my weight into the court for me to do this to the best of my ability. Thanks, your analysis was very accurate on the hitting without holding back anything and about transfering my weight.
