If you could re-live a match but change its end…

I disagree strongly my friend.

That's the difference between Wimby 07 and 08, it would have been a lot less "special" had Fed beaten Nadal there AGAIN. Rafa having his coronation in darkness is what did it. "There's a new king at the helm of mens tennis..... and his name is Rafael Nadal" Mythical af 8-B

Wouldn't mind seeing Borg win the 1981 U.S. Open final over McEnroe. As it stood, Bjorn lost three slam finals in a row to John and left the tour. Had he won, he might have stuck around and given Connors and McEnroe a run for their money over the next couple of years. It would have been very interesting.

Watched from the first ball to the last. Very very physical final. Still, I guess fact is best man won that day. No regrets staying up all night.

OK, even though it probably wouldn't be my first choice, one match I wish I could see the result changed of was Andre Agassi v Ben Becker at USO 2006.

I always felt that Agassi should have been retired by Roddick in the next round, it would have been perfect, the last all American encounter, passing of the torch in a way, one last marque match under the lights of NYC. The loss to Becker just felt wrong, felt like we were robbed of him getting that grand send off by going up against Roddick there.

Agassi would have wept even more when realizing who he was passing the torch to, don't be cruel on him. :(

LOL - If it was against Roddick, it would have been under the lights. Agassi was made for the night session of NYC, couldn't have been a more fitting way to go out. I also think Roddick was super annoyed that he didn't get the chance to play Agassi, he went out and crushed Becker quite badly in that match. He had that look in his eye.

Borg is quite clear in his Autobiography that he did not retire because he lost tennis matches. I'm almost inclined to think that if he had won the 1981 Wimbledon Final or the 1981 US Open Final, he would have announced his Retirement then and there.

Not even a match, I would just change Fed winning one match point versus Djokovic W 2019, that would probably be Fed's greatest achievement.
