I would love to see in-form Djokovic against this Federer. It would be interesting to find out what kind of tactics Djokovic will employ to beat Fed. At the moment, Nadal seems to be unable to find the answer now that Federer's former liability has disappeared - BH. I like the tactical game of Djokovic and I would love to see how he deals with current Fed.
If they meet in slams i hope it's US open. Would love to see Fed getting one back.

It's incredibly hard to win a major and there's so much against Roger (primarily his age and best 3/5 format). In his peak he could just show up at a major and win it playing gorgeously every match. Now he needs many other things: a favorable draw and luck. All it will take at the USO would be rain delaying and backing up his matches. Stuff like that. Everything will have to go perfectly... and he still could lose.

To be fair, he's gone through some quality competition in all of his 3 titles, especially Australia and Miami - so it may not be as draw-dependent as you think. Three 5 set matches against Nadal/Wawrinka/Nishikori - none of those guys is a joke, and he still won the title.

Those players were already there last year and he still got to the semis in Wimbledon with a bad knee and mediocre form.
He should have even made the final, he just choked horribly against Raonic in that last service game in the fourth. Would have lost to Murray probably, but he's a much better player now.

It's absolutely doable, yes, but still a long way to go.
Absolutely doable, sure. Can he lose to a bunch of players not named peak Djokovic? Sure. Can he get injured again? I'm afraid he can. Knock on wood.
Plus, let's not forget about Kyrgios who came inches away from beating Federer in Miami.

Come on guys cool your jets. Why does it always have to be "player X is going to win umpteen slams" after he has some success?
The guy is 35. He won the AO but the last slam he won before that was in 2012 and all of a sudden at age 35 he's going to win every slam this year?

So far this year has been the year of surprises. At the beginning of the season I predicted that Djokovic and Murray would not win all four slams even though the majority of posters thought they would win them all. I certainly didn't expect Federer to win the AO! That was a bigger surprise than I could have ever anticipated! I think we will see more surprises at some of the remaining slams.
Yes, forgot Kyrgios for some weird reason. I'm still flying pretty high on 18 + sunshine double.

Wimbledon or the US (or both and the WTF, Cinci and no. 1 :D:eek:) will all be icing.

Nishikori is a joke in majors to me. It would be a favorable draw for Fed on any surface if he gets Kei in the semis. Roger owns Stanimal, so that's also a kindly draw unless at RG. I was thinking of having a draw where he has to play Nick in the QF's the USO or especially Wimbledon, then Djoker, than Murray. Something like that would almost surely preclude Fed from winning another major.

Recovery time at 35/36 just isn't what it was in the old days for Fed.
