The prestige line has typically been more flexier and more head light than the radicals.

If you're looking for a heavier version of a Radical MP, you might wanna try the older radicals such as the Trysis or the Twin Tube Tour MP's.

The Radicals in my opinion are just a lighter more forgiving players racket, that are different than the Prestige. But you are asking a technical question that's very subjective. If you want to make a real comparison, you should try demoing both of them and try hitting back to back with them.

have those racquets been discontinued?

Yes they've been discontinued, but you can often find them on the auction site or For Sale section here.

I've played with Radicals all my life and I've also hit with several prestiges and they are two different rackets imo. The Prestige was lower powered, heavier, more headlight, and not as good from the baseline. For me the Radical has always been an exceptional from the baseline and average in everything else, while the Prestige excelled with Serves and Volleys.

Another option would be to add weight through lead, leather grips, or CAPS grommets. I'm unsure if the FXP Radical can take CAPS grommets though, I know the LM Radical can.
I played with the MG Radical MP with LM CAP grommets and a Wilson leather grip. The racket still felt hollow, and very underpowered, and was nothing like a standard Prestige MP.

I added more weight to my LM Rads MP when I used em. The results were fine, but reproducing em on the 2nd Rad to make a matching pair was frustrating. Also, asthetics is pretty important to me. I tried under the head guard and V mains at the V top. But there is only so much weight you can add under there.
I just so happened to try the LM Prestige MP strung with multi and I was shocked to find how for a heavy racquet it was easy to swing and stable due on return of serves. Also, the feel of multifillament strings on it...it was great.
After 3 yrs on the LM Rad, I immedieatly switched.
Give the Prestige line a try. You'll be surprised.
