Not at all. I use the similar combination with different string.

Not really a problem but using the thinner string in the crosses will allow the mains to move more. You would be better off IMO to put a 17 gauge poly in the mains and 16 gauge synthetic gut in the crosses. It really depends on what you are trying to do with the different gauges.

no problem at all. you can hybrid 15g with 19g and still have good results, depending on what you're looking for.
