Is there a SW difference btw the green and teal versions of the Dunlop Bio 100?

TW's measured spec for the teal (U.S.) version of the Dunlop Biomimetic 100 is a swingweight of 323 and balance of 5 pts HL. A member here calculated the swingweight of his green (Euro) version of the Dunlop Biomimetic 100 to be only 307 (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=7430336&postcount=3095). That's a pretty significant difference.

TW Europe never listed a swingweight spec for the green version: http://web.archive.org/web/20110204...ouse-europe.com/descpageRCDUNHFRA-DB100R.html
They do, however, list a balance of 320mm, which is appox. 7.5 pts HL.

So my question is if anyone knows the real swingweight of the green (Euro) version? Has anyone seen any website anywhere that lists its swingweight? Or has anyone ever measured one in stock form on a RDC machine?

Just curious if the specs of the two different color versions are actually different.

Thanks!

I own one of each and feel that the blue one swings a little heavier, though at the same weight they are the same balance.

OK, thanks. That's helpful. Your empirical experience would corroborate what another member calculated on the swingweight of his green version and TW's specs for the teal version.

Anyone else ever measured the swingweight of the green/black (Euro) version of the Dunlop Biomimetic 100 or have seen a spec of the swingweight published online or anywhere else? Perhaps a European or Asian retailer measured it and listed it online or somewhere else?

Thanks!

So any other users of the green/black (Euro) version of the Biomimetic 100 have an estimate of its swingweight, or even better, have found a published swingweight spec for it somewhere? :)

Or how about comparing the green/black version with the 4D 100 version, since the 4D 100 version has a low swingweight spec of 308 (according to TW). Does the green/black Bio 100 swing lighter or heavier than the 4D 100 or about the same? And for users of the teal (aqua)/black (U.S.) version of the Bio 100, does it swing lighter or heavier or about the same as the 4D 100?

Thanks!

I have both the euro/green version and the Blue Aerogel version. The Bio 100 has approx 4 g more around the head and consequently has a higher SW and plays better in stock form.

I think all the 100's are from the same mold but with differing cosmetics.
The extra "bubbly sharkskin " adhered to the frame has added about 6g overall to the weight ( a good addition in many people's opinion).
So the blue and green versions should play the same, though the green looks cool.

(When the Bio 100 came out it still had the narrower beam width at the throat just like the previous versions.
Whereas the "new" frame released at the same time, the bio 200 lite had a constant beam throughout the hoop.)

Thanks for your post. Yes, I agree with what you said about the original blue AG100 as compared to the Euro (green) Bio 100. However, I'm more interested in the difference between the Euro (green) version and the U.S. (teal) version of the Bio 100.

Yes, I agree they are all from the same mold, however, I believe they changed the weight distributions and the materials used between the AG100, 4D100, and the Bio 100 (and probably the new F100 as well), which is why they swing and feel different. The mystery is if Dunlop only changed the color between the Euro and U.S. versions of the Bio 100 or did they also change other things?

Hi BP
Do US Bio 100 & Wilson AK90 swing anything similar??
Thx
I think the US Bio 100 swings faster through the air than the AK90. Maybe it's the Aeroskin working? However, the AK90 is more stable and better for the 1HBH as it seems to have more weight in the head. The AK90's head is also physically bigger than the Bio 100's head even though they are both marketed as 90 sq. in. You can easily tell just by holding them side-by-side.
