Just a quick question regarding forehand technique

I notice that my one-handed backhand has more power than my forehand. Could it be due to the fact that on contact with the ball my backhand is completely straight (locked) while my forehand is slightly bent? Should I straighten out my elbow on the forehand more? Thank you for any advice regarding this or how to increase power with forehand. I use a semi-western forehand grip.

The only time my arm is ever straight on a fh is when I'm stretched out on the deuce side. The straight armed forehand might work ok for Federer, but it's not the ideal form and I do not recommend it.

If you want power sit down on your shots, bend your legs make sure your left shoulder is touching your chin. At contact your body should be facing the oponent's court and your leg should be straight. Also make your contact point is infront of your body.

Is it not the ideal form because it is improper, or because it is used by less players?

The reason why a 1hbh has more power than a 2hbh is because your take back and follow through for a 1hbh is much more than a 2hbh. It's kind of the same reason why a forehand that starts at 3 o'clock has more power than the ones that start at 6 o'clock...with everything else staying the same that is.
