Im not sure if you guys have read any of my other posts, but pro supex is giving me a sweet deal: 3 reels of whatever string i want for free. but the thing is that i really want to make a smart choice and get the string that plays most like kirschbaum pro line II, my current string.

anyway, which pro supex string plays the MOST like pro line II?

i'll also use kirschbaum p2, so if you know a string that plays like that, feel free to chime in.

thanks a lot

i'm sorry i have never used kirschbaum and don;t know what your string u use now feels likes, but the big ace, and premier ace are both good strings.

howd you score that sweet deal?

Definitely Big Ace...I've tried a few sets of the Pro Line II 17 last Spring and really liked it but was looking for a cheaper alternative and tried Big Ace 1.25 and I would say it is close in terms of comfort and power...if i remember well I liked the PL II better for control and tension maintenance but the reel is almost twice the cost of BA so I went with BA.

I used both extensively in the past. still use Proline2. but you don't have too many options here. blue gear plays nothing like proline 2. and Big Ace is also very different. BA is softer and has more muted feel. Also Less power than Proline2 for sure. so with Big Ace, you will be getting string with less power, softer feel, and slightly more control. but BA is the only option you have, i think.

no worries

one of the reps saw me play at a tournament. even though my ranking doesnt qualify for the full sponsorship, they saw me almost beat a kid who was qualified for it, so they offered me it.

Big Ace is the closest alternative but personally I liked the feel of Pro Line II better.

Used both BA and PL II.
IMO, PL II dies much faster than BA. It has good feel when fresh, but it does die fast.

I sticked with BA - very good control and also nice touch. And it is cheap!
