I wanted to get stringing lessons from an MRT certified member, but there are none in my area. Is there anyone else that is in a situation similar to mine? I was considering asking my local pro shop stringer(s) if they would offer lessons.

Aspiring, I think checking with one of your local pro shop stringers is your best bet. It's at lease a place to start. If they don't want to do it they may know of someone else who does. Just ask a lot of questions and make sure you communicate your expectations. There's no standardized course material to use for this. I've given lessons to several people, including new stringers for a national chain and I put a lot of work into developing the training material.
