looking for a drop weight

i know there have been posts for the "benefits" of each drop weight stringer...but ive been looking at two overall...the ATS super stringer II and the silent partner swing...i know one has a 2 pt mount and the other 6, and the $65 price difference, etc...so my question is...if you had to choose one, which one would you buy? right now im leaning towards the swing because i cant afford anything that is more expensive, but have heard that the customer service is amazing, quieter, and it comes w/ a reel of string...so..any ideas?

and does the klippermate have that "ratchet" effect like the swing and super stringer?

thanks

The Klippermate doesn't have a ratcheting string gripper. I've use a Klippermate and an ATS SS II and it's much easier to string with the ratcheting gripper.

The downside to the SP machine is that the racquet supports are short so there is limited room to get your hand underneath the frame when weaving crosses, also because of this you have to put the flying clamps on top rather than let them hang from below.

just something else to consider.

Now that would be a pain. My first stringer was an ATS SuperStringer (made by Court & Slope back in 79). I liked the fact that they had a good deal of room under the frame because I bought some heavy-duty Speed Clamps, and they were long. They won't fit under the frame on the KlipperMate.
