Looking to switch sticks - Suggestions?

I am a junior player currently using the Prince Ex03 Graphite 93. While I find great control and excellent volleys accessible with this racquet, I have a few problems with it - it's tough to consistently generate enough spin during long baseline rallies, and my serve which is usually a weapon has been reduced to a slower, more well placed version which doesn't get the job done...

so I'm looking to demo racquets mostly with a 95 sq in head. I am looking at the Rebel 95, Dunlop 4D 200, and Wilson BLX Tour Pro (96) but would like to hear any thoughts and suggestions (or questions) you have- thanks

If your not generating enough spin with the 93, I doubt that you'll be able to do it with the rebel. I've had both and the 93 produces much more spin.

If the problem with spin is that you can't get the racquet around, none of the racquets you suggested will help. If you don't mind a little lighter stick and still want a player's stick, you might look at the Babolat Pure Storm Limited (the old one's on sale) or the Wilson KPro Tour (not the new, super dense string pattern, BLX version). Even with denser string patterns, I suspect you'll be able to maintain the "whip."

The other alternative is to put on some muscle. ;-)

I'd bet you lost spin production with a loss of racqet head speed. What racquet did you use before?

Another idea would be to use the racquet finder. If I were you, I'd go for a bit less swing weight, a bit less overall weight and a bit stiffer.

Try the Head Youtek Prestige Pro, Yonex RDIS 100 mid or RDS 001 mid, Becker mid (the 93 16x19 one), and the blx 6.1 95 16x18. They have similar weights to what you use and you should be able to get more spin out of them

Wilson 6.1 95 BLX, either one of the string patterns would work, if you want more spin and power then go with the 16x18 if you want more stability and control go with the 18x20 (I personally prefer the 18x20 and I can get tons of spin with it however I am using Lux ALU Power Rough so that could be part of it but I have never had an issue getting spin with the 18x20)

The AeroPro Drive Plus. It was a big change in my game switching racquets but i needed it because of the lack of control with the babolat.

I'll check out the blx 6.1 and the yonex. it seems like the consensus here is a lighter racquet, not necessarily too much of a bigger headsize.

Although the Exo3 Graphite 93 demo had some qualities I liked, overall my reaction to it was somewhat similar to yours. I much preferred my POG mid. I also demoed the Rebel and found the Exo Graphite Mid more solid.

From my demos, I could suggest the 4D 200, BLX95, Pres Pro, and PB10 MP. Really no way around demoing a few to see which feels best for your game. All these are considered control racquets, but each will have a unique feel. If your anything like me, you will find the Volkl PB10 MP the most solid choice :)

I am currently playing with the BLX Tour Pro (96) and I really am falling in love with it. Before I was using the Ksix one 90 and I believe I was biting off more than I could chew. The weight became a problem in long rallies and after 3 sets. So I demoed the Tour Pro (96) and loved the lighter weight and the bigger frame. I also dont mind the 18x20 pattern, I dont have much trouble putting the same amount of spin as the 90.

definitely how i feel. the 96 is up there on my list of racquets to demo. played with the 4D 300 tour today and the 18x20 seems really nice, though the 98 headsize was slightly too big
